Because the differences in beliefs e.g how the eath began, can it be possible to be both??

THEY CAN EVENTUALLY become Christians because no one can disprove the existence of God.

The correct question should be, "Can christians be scientists?" The real answer is no. Scientists must begin with a question without an answer, christianity prejudices the scientific process. If we did not have so much religion in this world, it would be a more advanced place to live. We could have solved a great many issuse relating to health, energy and social conflict. Religions are nothing more than a form of tribalism.

Sure they can, what rules stop us from doing what we want? No rules! We're free baby, heck that's why we're in here; free to ask what we want and free to script our responses as we see fit. If you want to believe in God through Christian expression and at the same time fiddle with stem cell research then go for it, they can't stop you. The only rules that matter are the ones that keep us from screwing each other over, and most of us follow them. Heck I think Christians use science just like the rest of us. Churches use electricity to light the way as well as Jesus's message and that is not a conflict as I understand. Christianity provides many scientists to those fields of endeavor that better our lives. Now if we could get the Christian people to start dancing (Just kidding, I know you guys dance).

Not all scientist believe in that theory. It seems to me that they would be the ones that would actually have to be a higher power to be able to put together such a complex world. Just look how much we don't know about the human body. Can you imagine that coming from monkeys, or creation coming from two rocks hitting together. Give me a break. I don't think so. It's to complex. People just think it's easier to believe in something that you can see right now. God is there you can feel him, in your heart. You can't see the air but you know that it is there to breath, every day. Yet you have faith that when you get up in the morning it will still be there to breath.

but i think it depends on the person, how they view things. i know a very intelligent scientist that is a very religious person. i don't know how...i suppose i could ask, i just don't think its right for me to question is beliefs. i sure hate it when some Christians questions the lack of mine.
if he can "make it fit, and make sense" in his mind...then more power to him.
i do know that their is a paleontologist that speaks to young adults about his "theory" on the birth of earth..etc. its very interesting indeed. (i don't believe a word of it, but its interesting).

well i suppose you've never heard of idiot savants. they are ppl with severe metal disabilities, and yet also have incredible abilities....such as a person with autism. they may not have the ability to speak like a normal person, but at the same time they have the amazing ability to play in instrument like a pro, or paint and draw amazing artwork. some are good with numbers and can add HUGE sums in their heads!! i.e. the movie Rainman, was based on a REAL person.
perhaps you should find a better example.

Not all scientists are evolutionists. Faith and science are mutually exclusive. Scientists must prove their theories to others, they cannot just invent a theory and claim it is a valid theory.
Most scientists are atheists, but that is because they know the difference between a valid theory and nonsensical claims that can neither be proven nor disproven, and as such, are not theories..

That depends on how you define "Christian". If it is requirement of Christianity to reject the idea of seeking and basing knowledge of the NATURAL world through observation and logic based conclusion, then no Christian will ever seek to become a scientist.

I LOVE science and I am a Christian. Science totally supports the Bible.
Example- I believe in micro-evolution as does science and the Bible.
I don't believe in macro-evolution as does science and the Bible.
Science actually supports what the Bible claims.

There are a great number of scientists that believe in a "Creator" if that's what you mean. Stephen Hawking for one.
