Some employers give payed sick days after working for them a period of time.
Sometimes they will even let you use your paid holiday time for being off work sick.
Check out your employee hand book and or contract then you need to make sure you have a doctors note and take it to your employer to ask these questions.

A planned medical leave or just a few days off. You will not get paid for time off. But if it is time off from being hurt at work, then, yes you will be paid but through Workman's comp.

Contact your employer, they'll be able to tell you if you're entitled to sick pay - it depends on your contract. If you haven't got a contract, you probably won't get paid
