WRONG.

The US government used to STRIP Americans of their citizenship (even though there is nothing constitutional authorizing it), If they took an oath of citizenship in a foreign land.
Why?
Because ALL nations have, in their oathes something like 'i forsake ALL foreign allegences and pledge to defend this land against ALL foreing attack, etc, etc..."

Their was, however a lawsuit in the late 50's or early 60's that went to the US Sumpere Court and that court ruled that taking an oath to that effect is not sufficient grounds for expatriation and is not the same as a statement TO the US government desiring to renounce citizenship!
mericans are only in danger of losing US citizenship of being stripped of their citizenship if they swear allegence to a few countries and you can get thatlilst from homeland security, who is now the department that handles immigration and issues like that

It would depend on if you had to renounce your American citizenship to get Russian citizenship. Essentially, the duties and obligations you willingly take on cannot be antagonistic to your duties as an American citizen. If you enter their army, for example, you'd lose U.S. citizenship.

Yes, America is one of the countries you need to renounce citizenship to your home country. Unless you qualify for dual citizenship, but I really doubt you do, if you just want to emigrate here.
