No. Out of the hundreds of years the Fourth of July has been celebrated, why would they suddenly choose this one to attack? Even so, July 4th has very little patriotic meaning for most people. For the majority, it is about alcohol, BBQ, and fireworks. A damn good time if you ask me, but not anything that would attract the ire of terrorists.

I dont think so.The US has kept them so busy in Afghanistan and Iraq and with good defences here an attack is not likely or possible.But homegrown , thats another thing.But I think they will also be celebration July 4th!!

No, they don't seem to bother with prominent dates like Independence Day. They seem to like days that have no other importance so they will be remembered on that date and not have to share the moment with anything else.
