For so many years I rejected the idea of Christ and the bible. Surrounded by Christians, I would listen with a closed heart...taking in the words but not the message.
Christianity was interesting to me, but was not something to take seriously, I felt such anger when people said that they 'loved serving the lord'...PATHETIC! ( I used to say)How can you enjoy serving someone? I hated the idea of beleiving in God out of FEAR of going to hell. I'd look at my Christian friends and feel sorry for them...they seemed boring, and weird...so dull. I wished that I never was like them, for I wanted to be my own unique self, living MY OWN life.I chose Paganism because it best suit my beleifs and because at the time I felt connected to it.

Paganism was part of my life for such a long time. For years I studied, took part in rituials, ceremonies and events. I truly thought it was the path I would be on. I was always supportive of other cultures and religions even if I dident agree with them.

This past year I went to Church with a friend to be supportive of her Christian path, I went with the same closed heart and with the mentality that it was all Christian "propaganda". I even poked fun at her in the car a bit.
I felt panic on the way there, wondering if they would judge me. I wore a heavy sweater to hide my tattoos, and tried to brush my hair to hide my piercings. When I arrived, I was welcomed with open arms. They did not judge me at all, they were happy to have me there. When I left, I felt so alive, more alive than I ever had before. The panic left, and I felt like I was starting to understand. I accepted Christ that night, and I asked Jesus into my heart. I understood God's love and that Jesus died for my sins.
There was more to loving God than fear of hell. If you take away the devil, the fire, the torture...it all comes down to the worst punishment of all....living without God.
I realised that 'living my own life' ment nothing, because it was not my life to live. Jesus died for our sins, and I am forever grateful!

If you really want to be saved the first thing that you must do is to admit that you are a sinner and have need of a Savior. Romans 3:23 For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.
Even Mary was a sinner and she realized that she too needed a Savior. Luke 1:47 "And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Savior".
Then we need to TRULY repent of our sins and ask God to forgive us.
Then we need to invite Jesus into our lives and ask the Holy spirit to help turn our lives around as we need to be finished with sin and we are unable to do that alone and needs Gods help.
Romans 10:9 says, " that if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that god hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved."
Once you have repented and asked Jesus into your life you then become a Born again Christian and now Romans 8:1 tells us, "There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
Now you need to be familiar with Gods word and read the Bible daily. Find a good church and grow.
Praise the Lord!

when you feel really bad about things, just think about what happen if somebody come to your house now and want to hang you on the cross like jesus crist, but before they kill you they want to make you feel the pain just like what the story about jesus. Don't be shame to be a looser to avoid war. Jesus supose to more powerful then his killers but blood doesn't have to pay with blood. Can you imagine if George Bush and saddam Hussein was trust in Christ? no wars my friend...no wars...

If you think about the suffer of Christ, your life always feels better every day. I am not a hard core christian but I like jesus story, makes me feel better and blessed every day. As result I've never fight with anybody ever in my half century life. I allowed myself to be punched or kicked because in my mind nothing is worst then nailed on the cross, but never get punched or kicked anyway.

Question about whether jesus is god or not, that nothing to do with us that matter of jesus himself and god. People in the world always argue about what jesus made of but never argue about what jesus said because jesus teachings are relevant anywhere anytime, whether 2000 year ago or today.

You don't have to be christian to follow jesus way of thinking

I printed this as an answer to a unique question a lengthy time period in the past, yet right here that is back: i became raised in an atheist/agnostic Reform Jewish kin, and not in any respect extremely knew God. I had a bar mitzvah, went to Hebrew college and went to Temple on the severe Holy days yet in college I incredibly a lot abandoned the pretense and stopped practising altogether. ultimately I embraced atheism, and became truly vehemently anti-Christian. a touch unusual confluence of activities (thanks be to God), got here upon me in Church very last November. that particular Church became giving out copies of "The Case for faith" by Lee Strobel, and that i study it. The Holy Spirit worked an outstanding replace in my heart because interior of a month I confessed that Jesus became Lord. And to imagine that in the previous that summer season I were interpreting Dawkins and Hitchens! in view that then the Lord has finished fantastic issues with my existence and the extra I supply as a lot as Him the extra efficient issues are.

Me brother was an atheist, sick. He got saved by Christ and He got healed. I just couldn't understand what made him change like this. so I asked him....and he began preaching the gospel to me....I was surprised, yet excited. So I began to read the bible, and pray...and eventually I prayed the prayer of salvation. Got baptizes in winter...nice hot water:P
And now here I am trying to convince people of God:)
God bless Y'all!
