She has a two year old son..Her Sister-In-Law told her if she didn't take her son to chruch he would go to hell if something should happen to him...I am unble to attend and take him to church because of health reasons. I thought God was everywhere..not just in church on sundays..We do believe in god..we just don't always get to go to church..

Correct. God is everywhere. We could talk to Him not only Sundays but everyday.. 24/7. What's really important is that you believe in Him and you have faith in Him..

God bless!

Good question, I am constantly talking with people in my church about this one.
Going to church or believing in God doesn't have to do much with salvation.
Here are some thoughts:
1. Satan also believes in God; has more faith than we do.
2. Salvation comes when you confess to God that you are a sinner, then ask Jesus to come and save you/cleanse you from your sin. Salvation comes through trusting in Jesus Christ.
3. For a believer, it is very important that they connect with other Christians, sit under the teaching and authority of their pastor(s), and use the gifts God has given them to help other Christians grow. This is done best in the church (read Hebrews 10:24-25; Acts 2-4). God wants us to be involved in a local church for these reasons(1 Corinthians 12-13).
4. No one HAS TO work on Sundays. I along with many others I personally know are able to get off to go to church. It is ALWAYS a personal choice. Remember, we are working for the Lord, not men. Therefore honor the Lord with your time.
5. Some people are too sick to attend church, that is understandable.

Last, a few equations:
B (Belief in God) - CA (church attendance)= or =/= salvation
T (trusting Jesus as your savior) = salvation

The key issue is, "What are you doing with Jesus? Has there ever been a time where you personally asked him to be your savior from your sin?"

Hope this helps.

First, no the boy will not go to hell if his mother doesn't take him to church. He is already a child of God until he reaches the age of accountability. It is our responsibility as parents to raise our children the right Godly way, and the way they should go. After he becomes the age of accountability he is responsible for his own sins.. God said Keep the Sabbath Day Hole, meaning we have all week to work and Sundays are for worship and rest. He created heaven and earth in six and rested on the seventh. God is everywhere, but also is the devil. Just make sure God is in your heart! That is where it counts!

Okay your on the right track. Going to church doesnt save. But you need to install God and Chistainty into his home at a young age. ( 80% of people are saved before the age of 18). But the Bible also say do not forsake the gathering of the saints. Churhes today usally have fellowships during the week. Find one with a Program for children.

Her sister-in-law has a pretty good summary about the generalities of Christianity.

Sure, generally Christians can be found in churches, and the status of other that are not church-goers is less known. It's like saying US citizens are found in the US. There's plenty of folks inside these borders that are not citizens, and there's plenty of US citizens overseas. But as a fair generalization, - citizens are found in this country. It's kind of defensive and ridiculous for people to ALWAYS focus in on the exception, -when they say, "You can be a christian AND not go to Church!!!", maybe, -but why pursue that avenue??

The fate of those that reject Jesus appears to be going to hell. The goal of Christians is to follow the Lord. It's not a contest to see who can skip church AND still squeak in.

Look forward to having your grandson attend church with you!

If I am sure of one thing that is that god is not in the stones of your church. If your sister in low or priest are saying that you and your grand son or son will go to hell just avoid them. You should be able to think on your own feet. Do you really believe that others really know a thing about god. Such people, who really know, are so very, very rare.

Haha:)
That sister-in-law should read more Bible.
Going to church won't save you form Hell....
If the kid accpets Jesus Christ as his saviour by FREE WILL and not by the choice of his parents, he is saved. Of course He can go on the bad road, but He can always come back..until He dies...
goin gto church is important because if the coal isn't in the fire, it will get cold, people are like this, if they don't go to church, they'll get cold and go the wrong way.
Hope I answered yer problems^_^
God bless ....

Even I believe that God is everywhere. But I still go to the Church. See, we are human beings and our heart can slowly slide away from God (by comitting sins) but going to Church makes you repent for your sins and revives your love for God. Going to Church doesn't mean putting on bare -it-all dresses but taking part in the Eucharistic celebration and absorbing yourself in the Mass. Pray to God and he will show you a way for your grandson to reach Church. Your prayer will never go unreplied. Actually I do believe in hell and it helps me not to repeat my sins. God is at your hand any time. Go to him for everything.
