I know there's not much emphasis on Black people in the Bible. However, I've been told that Moses was a Black man was this true?

The Bible says that Moses had dark skin and was ruddy complected. I suppose he could have been Black. He could also have been darkened from the sun since he was a sheperd, and spent his time tending his flock. But I won't rule out the possibility that he may have been black. I have encountered this question before, it is quite worthy of good discussion. God created the different races in Genesis, so yes, Moses could very well have been black

The race of people in the bible is hard to pin down. He may indeed have been black - a vast majority of Egypt's slave population was made up of Nubians from the south, who were indeed very dark. If there was mixing between the Arab-descended Jews (who were also likely very dark) and the Nubians, it's quite possible that Moses was black. Whatever the case, he probably was not white, since there would have been no Europeans in north Africa at that time in history.

Remember - Moses was raised in Egypt by Pharaoh's daughter - and neither he not anyone else knew that he was not Egyptian, until it was told. So he must have looked like the Egyptians.

And - Maybe you're thinking of Moses' wife. Read Numbers 12:1

Moses was a descendant of Abraham and probably olive to light brown complexion of a middle easterner because of strict interbreeding requirements in the Israelite culture.

Jesus on the other had lineage from Sheba and we know the Ethiopians had a large international trade base.

Since it was common for royalty of various countries to marry in order to firm up relations and avoid wars it is possible that many of the BC ruling families were of mixed race including Ethiopian, middle Eastern, Mediterranean, Egyptian and Asian.

No that wasn't true at all. As you must know people from Middle East have a dark color. Isn't because their skin was dark their race is black. You must have this confusion, because at that time some foreigner used to call them "bedouin" meaning something like dark or balck skin, but their race are not like the Africans race. Remember color of the skin does not determine people's race, the race is determine by people's feautures.

I'm Christian, and there is nothing in the Bible that specifies that the person was black or white. But i guess he was tan, since travelling 40 days and nights to the land of Canaan. I guess we'd never know who was black or white in the Bible, but that doesnt really matter...does it?

His wife was dark (not necessarily *******), the daughter of a Median priest, and because of this, his sister Mariam, and his brother Aaron, criticized her (Moses' wife), see Numbers 12.

Do not confuse 'dark' with 'black'. 'Dark' is relative. In any case, this implied that Moses was fair.

everyone in that area, then and now, had dark skin. Unless Moses is from a European country, which I seriously doubt.
