I dont have the heart to throw away or keep the gifts my ex-boyfriend gave me, is it right to give them back to him or will this make him angry and upset.

Well, to throw would be such a waste so why don't you give it to people who cant afford them, mind you if these gifts are NOT the very personal type. But before you do that make sure your relationship is really over or you will regret it.
Cards or small cuddly stuff you can keep to remind you of the good happy times together.

Well, as a guy I would not wanna have to do with you after a break-up. You would hurt my pride to give me back the presents I gave you. But this also depends on the gift. Let's say I gave you a 40000$ car, and I'm a vet with an annual income of 50000$, I would ask the car back, although that would not be what I think about this subject. The bottom line: If he affords buying you a 100000$ car, that means he can afford letting you have the car, but if he's in not a great financial state, you should.... If he comes for them , just give them. If he doesn't don't. Or at least give him a phone and talk to him about this prob. That would be the most appropriate.

Why would you want to throw away a gift? That would be stupid and ignorant. When someone gives you a gift, you keep it as long as you can. A gift is something that is a part of a person's love and care that they have for you. Appreciate that you have them and move on, ok?
