Maybe he does like to hear you say you love him Does he say it to you?
It sounds like an insecurity issue to me but then that is a common problem so not to worry! Me and my hubby tell each other "I love you" several times every day. Some people might think that this is unnecessay but we really mean it each and every time! Those three little words never seem to lose any of their meaning between us, no matter how many times we say them!

Your boyfriend has a complex and feels more secured when you give him the affirmation "I Love you" . You may be possibly be open minded and mingle with people which adds to him insecurity.
