Answers given read that there are married people who have abortions. Are there more married people having abortions than there are teenagers? Unmarried women? Women who depend on their "John's" income for support and the "John" doesn't want a baby?

I think its alot more common for teens and unmarried women to chose to have an abortion. I believe that if a long lasting commitment was made (like marriage) was made before a people had sex, then yes, abortion wouldnt be such a problem.

Yes. Simply because since the beginning of time people have had sex outside of marriage and some, for the rest of time, will continue to do so. This is not a perfect world we live in and all humans are prone to "sins of the flesh". Thus there will always be unplanned and unwanted pregnancies. I do not condone abortion. I think there will always be a big debate concerning that issue.

Abortion would still be an issue because married couples don't have sex just to have children. The only effect would be less abortions because the pool of possible pregnant women would decrease. And how would you deal with prenancies resulting from rape?

I think we wouldn't have such a high rate of abortion if people started using condoms and birth control as birth control and not abortions. Way too many of the people having abortions get one because they forgot the condom, didn't feel like buying condoms, it's 'too hard' to remember to take a pill. People just need to start being responsible and stop blaming other people and issues for their problems.

Dude, we are all sinners
so if your perfect, please throw the stone, I'm right here.
As for abortion and sex, freewill is God's way so shut up
and let people do what they are going to do.
We are not thier judge nor are they ours.

Here's some wisdom for you, in Hebrew a virgin means nothing more than
UNMarried woman.
You are making people bitter by your self rightous attitudes that bite the hands that feed them. YEAH SINGLE MOMS.
Better get a mirror freeedom of choice is American and it is Biblical, you can have yours but let others do what they do if it offend you turn the other cheek.
FORGIVE or you will not be forgiven.

Yes it would reduce the numbers tremendously but not all women who are married want kids and may decide to terminate the pregnancy. I know girls who have had abortions because they felt they weren't ready or needed the burden of having kids at that point.

i think it is wrong for people to impose their religious and moral beliefs on people as though they are the only ones with the "correct" opinion. I think it is the choice of the woman and the man who fathered the child to make a decision that is best for them. I think the idea that there is an abortion issue has more to do with people thinking they are morally superior to others and have the right to tell me what I can and cannot do with my body under the care of my doctor.

Marriage has nothing to do with it really. It is people being selfish and not using common sense that does. There are so many forms of birth control out there for men and women, there is NO excuse for as many women and girls that get pregnant by accident that do.
