Duct Tape! Just kidding... Can you give more details, such as the approximate age of this sibling? It could make a difference.

Coming from the once irratating younger sibling (I'm the baby in the family), all I can say is just hang in there. Sometimes I annoy my sisters because I know I can.. Sometimes I do it cos she looks cool doing it. (I'm not really answering your question right?)

But anyways, I think one way you can try is not to totally alienate your younger sibling. I mean, ask him/her to join you in something, maybe cycling or rollerblading together. Kinda like a controlled environment.. You choose where/what activity/when he/she can join.. That way, I think he/she wouldn't bother you so much cos you're still paying attention to him/her. At the same time, you're the one who's setting the rules.

This is a problem my own children ask almost everyday. LOL.
I have three girls. I'll give you the same advise I give to them. They only follow you around because they admire and look up to you. So include them in the things you are doing every once and a while, not all the time but occasionally. You'll find you can catch more flies with honey than you can with vinegar.
Good Luck and remember one day you'll be the best of friends.

Perhaps the reason the sibling is being irritating is that he/she wants your attention. Try turning said sibling into an ally...that way they will mature faster and probably not bug you so much.

Ignore your younger sibling when he/she bothers you. It also depends on the age, if they are younger (toddler, child) they might just be bored or, believe it or not, that is a sign of love. If they are older (pre-teen, teen) they are probably annoyed and feel like they are alone. But, other than that, ignore them. They want you to react.

suprise him by saying that you want to sspend an hour with him on saturday. Make your sibling feel lovded and supported.
Be patient with him. usually a youonger sibling is irritating that , but that is thrir way to get to know him better. there will be less irritation.

I have TWO of them! lol I just ignore them until they leave me alone or give up on bothering me. Sometimes I bite my lip and punch my pillow! [j/k I don't really punch my pillow! :)] Just remember that you can choose your friends, but you can't choose your family. AND that you have to LOVE them, but you don't have to LIKE them! ;) Good luck!
