Age

It's neither. It's the inherent nature of love. You can be 12 and have as much of an idea of love as someone who's 80 and has been married for 60 years. What's the difference? That 80 year old has spent the last 60 years loving the same person. They understand what that person's conception of love is, and how it works for the two of them. When you're trying to figure love out, it's as much about figuring out what you believe love is, and what you want to get out of it. Love itself is intangible, it's indescribable. If you could put a label on it and say "this is how you figure it out", it wouldn't be nearly as powerful as it is otherwise.

My personal experience is to love someone, you really have to know yourself and what your expectations of a relationship are. What you know and what you expect when you are 18 may be quite different than when you are 23. As we mature so does are expectations. Often individuals feel they love someone except for maybe this thing or that and they feel that after they are together they can change that about a person. No one can or should try to change another. Change comes from within ones self, and to change one has to see the need for change their-self

Well, with the divorce rate in the United States reaching 60% I suppose most people arn't getting enough training as a child to understand what love is. It is a desease and it's genetic.

Because people are individuals and everyones idea of love and what it means is different.

We make the mistake of thinking that everyone should react to us in the same manner that we do and see love as we see it... but love is personal - like religion - and no one but the person themselves can decide what course it must take.

Alot of times people have been hurt and are running scard. They don't want to get hurt again. I remember when I was younger, I trusted people and had more faith in people. Now I watch myself around everyone. You can't be so trusting and you just don't give your heart over to just anyone. There are some evil people out there male and female.

Human beings are curious character, they have to be taught in order to understand, that is why we go to school, in order to be better in doing our chores.
similarly for sex but unfortunately we don't go to school to learn that, nowadays it is more easier with all the porn films around but I remember there was a couple who were married for two years and they went to see the doctor why they are not successful on getting a child, the doctor carried out a few checks nd found out that the girl is still a virgin.
similarly with money, we study accounts but not how to make money successfully.
