I eat soup if it is thick.
I drink soup if it is thin.
So you see, it depends on the soup. But you wil more often heatr people say "eat your soup".

if u r sans teeth then u just drink u can't eat
normally people drink it but go to the depth then its clear that if u take the vegetable or chicken soap then not drink u have to eat it
to pass the pieces of meat or vegetables
