Many people think that cats cannot be trained, but that is a common mistake. Though cats are harder to train than dogs, it's not impossible. But it will take alot of hard work.
I cannot be alot of help, as you didn't specify exactly what you are trying to train your cat to do. But an important factor to training a cat is eye-contact, and food-treats! Keep little pieces of some food your cat loves handy all the time. Good luck! : )

This isn't meant to sound mean of any sorts, but... Wake up or dream on about something else!! Cats can only be trained to do what they want to (meaning...you may THINK you are training it, but the cat views it as it is just doing what it wants to).

If you are doing something like telling your cat not to do something, just make a loud noise (like clap your hands real loud) and say "NO!"...or squirt with the water bottle.

Otherwise, repetition also helps. if you are trying to train them to come up by you at a certain time (like when you go to bed), just keep picking up cat and taking them into bed with you until s/he eventually knows that it is what you want it to do and it is ok to do that.

Good luck!

You simply stare your cat in the eyes and say "Hey you cat! Listen to my commands and follow them accordingly! If you understand what I am saying, meow 2 times!"

I promise he/she will meow 2 times and from here on out your cat will follow your commands.

My 2 cats are experienced to stick with instructions. like each and every animal guidance, it takes time, consistency, motivator for the cats (like a manage or nutrients) and beauty words of praise and endurance. My cats were experienced to stay on the porch/deck with no leashes, come even as their names are observed as, and the more youthful cat became experienced a thanks to sit down on command. start up guidance them early and artwork with them reguarly. strong success!

it is interesting to me that you ask that question . It is very easy to make your cat mind . When you say her name, and she comes to you always reward her. Petting works very well. Mine came 99% of the time , and all I had to do was say his name , the other 1%, there was a reason, he may have been out of ear shot, or he may have been busy hunting , his favorite past time was gophers !

Buy a big dog, then tell the cat to start running. Guaranteed to work.
