Require information as to the coal mine fires burning underground in Bihar State. Know that they started in 1911 and have spread to over 100 coalfields. What is current position.

yes its true. You are talking bout fire in coal mines of DHANBAD and JHARIA which is no longer in bihar now. After the bifircation of the state of bihar it has gone to JHARKAND.. yes its true that some of the coal mines still has fire insid it but as per govt. it has been taken care of.. However it is said JHARIA is a town situated on the fire.
