The Jews wanted to believe that the Messiah would come through and be a King that would just utterly destroy its enemies, rule with a fist, and be a highly involved in all aspects of the church and its decisions. They cling heavily on to the Old Testament and overlook the New Testament largely to misinterpreting prophicies in the Old Testament. Prophets like Isaiah talked of the Messiah and spoke of Him being meek and persecuted. The Jews took that out of context to mean it is about Israel. The early Greek and Hebrew translations show this to be wrong on their part but scholars and high priests of the day when Jesus was around and crucified have changed the teachings and theologies to further hide the fact that the blood of Jesus was on their hands. No one, not one has ever claimed, or done what Jesus has done. None. Jesus rose from the dead and in itself is proof of what He said was true. Does anyone actually think that the 12 Disciples would die the horrible deaths they did for a lie? Use that thing called a brain. All they had to do was say it was a lie and their lives would be spared. Look into how they each died: beheading, crucifixion, bludgeoning, boiled in a hot vat of oil. These are all proven in books of historians of that era not tied to the Bible in any way, so drop that arguement. Would 12 men die for a lie? No.

Get your facts straight, Dude! The Jewish hierarchy didn't want Jesus around because he was upsetting their religious control over the people by telling them the truth. John 11:48

Jesus original 5000+ disciples were Jewish.

Yes, Christians accepted Jesus as a prophet but also as God incarnate. (The latter was evident after His resurrection)

Christians don't worship a prophet, they worship the God of creation, almighty Jehovah.

Dude, if you're going to ask a question at least put some research behind it before you ask.

Actually, Messiah means anointed one. The tradition of the Messiah is certainly one that developed over time, taking on new meaning as the years went on. You are right to say that Jews did not expect the Messiah to be God. This is considered a later revelation, which came through "Christ" (the greek translation of Messiah) Jesus and was passed on by the Apostles.

The way that Christians worship Jesus (not God but God's Prophet/Messenger), is because of the influence of Greek philosophies that were popular at the time of Jesus (pbuh).

Dualism - the belief in god and man as one. Let's say that Zeus came to a mortal woman and they begat a son. This son would be human with god-like qualities, like super strength, super speed, etc. Pharaoh is a great example of dualism. Dualism was a popular belief among Gentiles of the day, it was one aspect of their pop psychology, so to speak. To attract believers, Jesus' followers used dualism so that the Gentiles would listen to them. It made sense to them, so they became Christians. Most early Christians were Gentiles, they had to be lured

That's just one simplistic answer, but most people are not aware of how much Greek philosophies influence modern-day Jesus worship.

Christians are the only ones ever to believe in a trinity. If God is a "Judeo-Christian" God, and the Jews are strictly monotheistic and don't believe in a trinity, then why can't Christians be strictly monotheistic as well? It's because the Jews already worshipped one God, and didn't need Greek philosophies to attract them.

Look up Isa.9:6,7; Heb.1:1-13; The power of the Almight God and Father of Jesus can allow his prophet, his son, the mediator to be Lord God savior of the world. All power is given unto Jesus in Heaven and upon the earth. WHO GAVE JESUS THIS POWER?
Messiah, Immanuel and Christ is God anointed or appointed, Jesus has qualified. He will bring Satan down Rev.20:1-6,12,13; 1Cor.15:22-28; Heb.2:9,14; He will make all things as they were before Eden.

Christians do not recognise Jesus as a prophet. They recognise him as the way the truth and the light. The only begotten son of God. And the first Christians WERE Jewish. All of the apostles were Jewish. All the ones who followed him about were Christians and Jews as well.
