Isn't it possible that Jesus was the last prophet to the Jew and the rest of us can learn from their mistake and not be so hardheaded?

There were prophets long before Jesus and there are prophets even to this day. The only reason that Christ is so speacial is that He was and is the Son of the living God. He was a perfect being in an imperfect world. He is the only man tohave lived, died and rose frome the dead three days later all by His own power. The only prophets that we Christians say are true are the ones whos teachings run parallell to what God and Christ tried to teach us. to answer your question now, there is nothing wrong with it so long as it lines up with Christs teachings.

First of all, Jesus was not a prophet. He was the very God who became man for the specific purpose of atoning for mankind's sins. He reveled the nature of God and He was perfect, sinless and holy while He lived as a human being. Though He came as a Jew, He did not come for the Jews alone. He did everything that is needed for mankind to be saved. What is remaining is just the individual acceptance of it from us.

Yes. Remember, there are others even in the new testament that are considered prophets after the resurrection and ascension of Jesus. Christianity simply rejects any prophet whose message runs contrary to Jesus' and the Apostles.

The problem with your question is the question itself. Prophets are people who spoke for God on a certain situation. Since Jesus is God, His coming came to complete the public revelation of who God is and what is His plan for Man. I do believe that there have been great people who have come since then to be an example for us.

Nothing. In fact, there are respectible religions like The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day-Saints that say that God loves his children of this time no less than the children of Israel and has given them a prophet today.

Uhm the problem is that the prophets prophecied about Jesus...+ there are prophets today...only they prophecy to their church/fellowship/etc...as we can read in Apostle's Acts, and Paul writes aobut this gift in his letters.
So Jesus was the Messiah, and there are still prophets...all christians actually
