We all assume that when we talk about 'faith', we all understand it the same way. I get the feeling that I have a different definition to most of Christendom. What is your definition of faith?

Faith: beleiving in something bigger than the universe without seeing it. what i beleive is that god created the universe and everything in it, his creation disobeyed him, he sent his son to pay the price of our sins forever, his son died and rose again, and is in heaven pleading for us all until he returns to claim his eternal kingdom. I also beleive that the Holy Spirit is on the earth doing what he needs to do to free our souls from the bondage of sin.

Faith is the belief that we will receive the objects we believed in or prayed for. If we live our lives by faith, then faith is shown through our lives. If we talk about our faith but do not live it withour lives, then our faith is dead. If our intention is to live in the kingdom of God, then our source of faith is God. If we walk in God's ways to inherit his kingdom, then we have Godly faith. This is the faith that is spoken of in the Bible. Any other faith is worldly faith and not of God. "Mark 11:22 … Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God. Heb 11:1 faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." If our faith is not embelished in our lives then our faith is ultimately dead. It would be like putting on a play for the world to see. "James 2:26 …as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also."

As Chistian comes form the word of christ referring to Jesus Christ that die for his love for us....I assume the definition of faith is Love. Jesus gave his life to save ours...this is the biggest meaning of love.
