i dont. i dont need to be part of a group or "organized" party just because i dont believe in God, heaven, hell, or Satan.

i believe its everyones right to decide for themselves. i find that most "organized" groups of self proclaimed atheists main goal is to eliminate religion completely. personally i think its crap. i choose NOT to worship, what makes me the better person to say...you CANT worship..and im going to destroy your belief system. its not right, just as prayer in school is not right to the non-believers.
the common thread between the two, believers and non-believers MUST be mutual respect. you dont have to like it, but you should try to get along. *to each his own* as my grandfather would say...he and i were on different sides of the "religious fence", believe or not to believe. (he was a baptist reverend btw).
just food for thought here...if organized religion is the "enemy"(so ive read in many atheists publications), then WHY are atheists organized...isn't that somehow a...well....religion. the religion of non-religion...yeah i know, its some deep thinking there. but just try it on for size, mull it over.
why are believers the enemy? why pay attention to the extremists. why band together as if in a war?
activism and orgainzed hate are two different things. do i fight for my right? yes. do i imped the rights of others...i freakin hope not! id be a hypocrite!
tote the freedom banner all you want, but that freedom covers everyone! equally.
