As that conversation arose while she was enjoying your company, guess she suddenly felt the fear of losing you and therefore put forward such question.
I think the importance lies on, if you truly love her, whether you should accept her if she ever cheated on you; not so much as to whether she really did cheat you.

Being a woman...one that has in fact been in a four year relationship...I feel that I'm well qualified to give advice on this matter. Here's your answer sans-sugarcoating: She has either already cheated on you, or has deeply considered cheating on you. I would honestly reassess your relationship and determine if you actually WOULD forgive her for any indiscretion. If you decide that you would take her back, then you should sit her down and have a dreaded conversation: insist on complete honesty and promise her that though you will be upset, you can attempt to look past her mistake(s).
Just remember, if you say you will forgive her, and find that you just don't have it in you to truly get past it, then you have to end it. There's no way you can survive happily in a relationship without trust, and you simply can't continue to throw the tryst in her face. It's an unfortunate truth, but it is truth nonetheless.

i asked that question more than once to my boyfriend because i met a guy that i really liked. i want to enjoy the feeling i'm having with the new guy but i don't want to lose my boyfriend and i am very sure of that. may be that's also the reason why she's been asking you that question.
don't you worry too much. if she really wants to fool around, she'll find ways that you wouldn't even recognize she's already doing it.

possibly could mean she did and is thinking whether or not she should tell you, so if you want to get it out of her just be like baby no matter what i want you to know that we can work through anything! i love you and will do anything for you! Even if we have to go on a break to work things out we will get bettter! ya know! and just ease it out of her, even if you don't want to get back with her, just say that to get it out of her!

I believe it's a round-about question....she's asking what to do with you if you cheat on her.

dont ask us dear...ask her instead...dont have doubts as it kills a relationship...be open & frank...its not necessary that if she has asked it then she has done it...talk to her about this as to why she asked such a question but do it in a way that doesnt makes her think that you doubt her...
