"Afterward Lot left Zoar because he was afraid of the people there, and he went to live in a cave in the mountains with his two daughters. One day the older daughter said to her sister, "There isn't a man anywhere in this entire area for us to marry. And our father will soon be too old to have children. Come, let's get him drunk with wine, and then we will sleep with him. That way we will preserve our family line through our father." So that night they got him drunk, and the older daughter went in and slept with her father. He was unaware of her lying down or getting up again. The next morning the older daughter said to her younger sister, "I slept with our father last night. Let's get him drunk with wine again tonight, and you go in and sleep with him. That way our family line will be preserved." So that night they got him drunk again, and the younger daughter went in and slept with him. As before, he was unaware of her lying down or getting up again. (Genesis 19:30-38)

It's called selective breeding. It is practiced today, among most royal families around the world. Have you heard of the Hapsburg's gigantic jawbone? Most royal families are prone to hemophelia too.

Check out Abraham, Issac, and Jacob. All three married a close relative. And what about that Abraham, trying to use his son for a human sacrifice? That's really kinky!

But then again, none of these people were Christian. And I doubt if the Jewish people that we know, 3,000 years later allow incest either. When you think about it, the people who gave you the Bible were being pretty honest about the history of their faith. Can you say the same?

Obviously, Lot wasn't aware of what was happening and probably did not condone what was done. I am a Christian and DO NOT condone incest. You must be one of those people who try to twist the words of The Bible to make Christians seem evil. Weird...

Those words are quoted exact from KJV but people in the bible times did bad things too, and who is to say of Lot's daughters were Christians, I don't know, does anyone else know?

No, Christians do not condone incest. Not everything narrated in the Scriptures is considered right, even when the Scriptures don't blatantly condemn it. Instead, it is the narration of actual events, whether right or wrong.

For more on incest in the Scriptures, what about Abraham, whom married his half sister?

There are a lot of things that people do in the Scriptures that aren't necessarily right.

good i'm a Xi'an that does study my Bible and if that you would possibly want to to look on the finished tale (this is spread by the Bible) you'll see that the righteous God that we you want to be like who set the known not in any respect stated He licensed of the perverted issues plenty women did. i'd favor to discuss that both females were raised in a city so depraved that God destroyed them on account that each genuinely one of the boys in the city settle for Lot were queers. So the society in which the girls lived became once very similar to hollywood or NYC in the present day they'd an attractiveness of perversion. also they had to get the old guy inebriated to bang him. (this became once earlier the legislations of Moses, so drunkenness became once now no longer yet defined as a sin) even as God did provide the legislations to Moses He placed into the regulation that incest became once a sin and that similar regulation that you ridicule us for utilizing as a practise for Christianity is the position YOU get YOUR moral code that makes you comprehend that incest is a sin. Which on your lack of ideas you bash what you do not have an comprehend-how of. So we Christians do not condone incest this is SIN. i comprehend your variety isn't in reality, your favor in to get on proper right here and teach your lack of expertise. by bashing what you comprehend no longer something about, yet ignorantly are living by it your self even as you placed down incest you're dong what the Christian God needs you to do. (in that field besides) hi

No, Christians do not condone incest. God is very honest in the Bible. He tells the whole story of history, not just the good. Mankind has not been perfect (lived without sin) since the first sin of Adam and Eve. The fact that these things occurred in the very early days of creation do not make them right.

It is not for the Christian to condone or condemn. It is for God as He has revealed His expectation in His Word. The Bible unlike other books is true to itself in narrating what happened and it is recorded there for our admonition and warning. Those who do not understand the Spirit of the Bible can not distinguish between the examples and instructions. In order to understand God's communication you need to first of all tune into Him through His Spirit. Until then these are things beyond your comprehension and you will only find them as objects of sarcasm. The message of the Bible is still the same power that can transform lives.

No, incest is not okay. Incest is the sexual relations between family members either by birth or marriage. God has forbidden this in the Bible.

Lev. 20:11-12, "If there is a man who lies with his father’s wife, he has uncovered his father’s nakedness; both of them shall surely be put to death, their bloodguiltiness is upon them. 12 ‘If there is a man who lies with his daughter-in-law, both of them shall surely be put to death; they have committed incest, their bloodguiltiness is upon them."

Lev. 20:19-21, "You shall also not uncover the nakedness of your mother’s sister or of your father’s sister, for such a one has made naked his blood relative; they shall bear their guilt. 20 ‘If there is a man who lies with his uncle’s wife he has uncovered his uncle’s nakedness; they shall bear their sin. They shall die childless. 21 ‘If there is a man who takes his brother’s wife, it is abhorrent; he has uncovered his brother’s nakedness. They shall be childless."

But some may point out that Adam and Eve had children and since there were no other people around, their children would have had to commit incest in order to produce more children. At the time of creation, the genetic line was pure. It wasn't until later, at the time of Moses, that incest was then forbidden as the genetic pool became less and less able to stand interbreeding. "‘No one is to approach any close relative to have sexual relations. I am the LORD," (Lev. 18:6).
