I am with a man who served in the Navy but was stationed with Marines his whole time in as a Medical Corpsman. Now he just signed out last month. I want to know if being married would increase how much they give him ? He's sorta disabled from the whole thing. Not sure about all that but he has said if we were married he would get more benefits If so what would that be ? Thanks

He was discharged last month and his hearing on the left ear is bad from a bomb that went off close to him. He was in Iraq. One of his foot is just messed up. He has a couple of injuries. They checked him before he left and he told me it was so they can see how much they would help him. I don't know much about the military or how it works

And no I'm not marrying him for his money. He was the one who said I could use the benefits or the kids.

seeing as how is he discharged, then no, there will be no additional funds,as the ONLY thing that goes up when a servicemember gets married is Basic Allowance for Housing, and he no longer qualifies for that. Being discharged.. all beneifts he recieves are for him and him alone directly reating to his service and any injuries sustained.

In short.. he won't get anything extra if he marries you..except a spouse....

disabled is the key- if he is still active in the service- yes more money

but is that really a reason to marry someone...... just to later on question "why did I do that?"

If he wanted you to know, he would tell you. He will be fully apprised of all of his benefits when discharged.

if he's already discharged I don't think so. If he was still active duty yes he would get extra money

He would get more housing allowance, more monthly pay not sure exactly how much though.
