It is possible you are pregnant, but an irregular period is normal after giving birth even if you aren't breastfeeding. Your body has gone through a series of changes, and it will take a little while to get back on track. Still it would be a good idea to talk to your Gynecologist.

Ok, well your period is likely going to be really irregular for a long time after birth....my daughter is 16 months old, and my period wasn't back to normal until she was about 7 or 8 months old.

HOWEVER------

It is VERY easy to get pregnant right after giving birth. Who knows why? It's hard on your body and Lord knows you don't want to get pregnant again so fast, but lots of people do. Since your cycle is so irregular (and you will be doing a lt of spontaneous ovulation), DO NOT rely on methods like the rhythm method for a LONG time! I'd say get on Rx birth control ASAP. A lot of "Irish twins" were made that way! It is possible that you are pregnant, so rule that out with a pregnancy test, and if you aren't, then get a more reliable form of birth control ASAP!

While it is possible that you may be pregnant again (take a pregnancy test to make sure), I don't think you are. The stress of a newborn can cause you to skip periods as can sleep deprivation. Sometimes it can take over 6 months to a year for your cycles to completely go back to normal.

Everything is always irregular after you have kids. I have three and my period is never on time. I actually thought i was pregnant again last month because it came so late! You may be pregnant again! Good luck!

Yep. My niece has babies that are ten months apart. It is good having them close together because they are close. They also leave the nest around the same time. Mine were a year and two weeks apart and they have always been there for each other.Get a pregnancy tester.
