Hell yes I do. There are certain things I won't do. My girlfriend can open the car door on her own, but I will hold the door open for her wherever we go, offer my jacket if it's cold, pay for dinner or movies etc, there are too many jerks today. I try not to be one of them.

Wow, and Jeezze!!! I was taught and shown by my father and teach it to my son as well. I respect women and as long as my son and I are alive Chivalry will not be dead. I know I speak for a lot of men out there as well. Every time I do a chivalrous act I tell these women that "Chilvary is not dead" and I am thanked every time. I am a flirt but like many men I enjoy doing thoughtful things for women. I will never stop doing this.
So, Once again and to repeat myself. Chivalry is still alive and well. Paying the dinner bill when you date the first time is a must as well. If this doesn't happen dump him. If you need more proof... Play the game of Monoply with him. This will tell you the true inner person.
Good luck
Hugs to you,
Jeffrey

No. Most people only refer to the positive aspects, but remember Chivalry also has many negative aspects. Much more romantic is Courtly Love, similar to Chivalry except you are kind to women because they are worthy of praise and admiration not because they are weak and need constant protecting.

No, the sexes are equal aren't they? Why should I open the door when you are perfectly capable of doing it on your own? Why should I put the toilet seat down? I don't complain if you leave it up, you're a big girl now, you can put it down.
Even a guy in a wheelchair can open the damned car door on his own- are you helpless? Or do you just want men to kiss your ***?

If she expects me to open the door I wouldn't if she expects me to pay I go dutch. If she lets me make a nice gesture I will.
