His name was Homer Hooper SR. My aunt was given money for it twice and both times she cashed the check and spent it on something else. I would really like my grandfather to have a headstone it is something he earned in his life time he served in the war and it is the least that could be done to horner him. It was filed through the millitary by my aunt who is Emma Landau (madian name Hooper). My family can not afford a headstone it has gone for 20 yrs without one and I would like to have the peace in my life to know that he has a headstone for people to remember him.

Fastest way I know, if you are a registered voter, contact your Congressman. It's a constituent service matter and elections are coming up.

Web: www. FirstGov.gov

This will help you locate your Congressman's Web page and constituent services should be listed.

You have to supply the Congressman, or his military/veteran aide, with appropriate documentation; e.g. Separation Document preferably since Discharge may not suffice.

Good Luck.

Which was more important ? Booze for your aunt or a head stone. If you got a third payment your family would spend it on booze or Wacky Tobaccy !
Look around the trailer park and find a rock. Mark on this rock with a laundry marker. 79 cents at Wal-Mart. Walla ! You have a head stone !

well i don't think the military will pay for it now since it's been 20 years. if your family can't afford it. have a pancake dinner and use the funds from that to by a head stone. there would be a lot of people or prior service people donate for it or show up for it and you can ask a church to host it and get the stuff from stores like wal-mart, etc.. just talk w/ your family about doing that.

If the government has already furnished funds TWICE then you are TOL. It isn't the military's fault the money was used for other things.
