You may need a preamp for your record deck to give a high enough output. I use Pinnacle Clean Plus that includes a USB preamp module that you can also use instead of a sound card. This is not perfect but results improve with time. It also takes a long time to transfer as recording to the computer has to be done in real time and then if you need to clean up the recording with the software...even longer but worth it. Nero is better to put onto CD but I found Pinnacle better for the initial recording and cleaning.

Download Nero from www.nero.com Or if u have Windows Media Player 10, u can burn the songs on a CD using WMP. U can also choose to use Windows CD writing wizard to burn the songs. Just insert a CD in ur cd drive, right click on the song u want to burn and select "Send/Coy to CD". Now open "My Computer", click on CD drive and u can see the songs u want to burn. Select them and click on "Write items to CD" on the left side of the screen. All the songs will be burned to CD. Use a CD/RW (rewritable CD) so that u can erase old songs and burn new songs in future.

Thanks!!

Yes, there is a couple of programs you might use, one is called LP Ripper. Audacity will record and convert to mp3 or wavefile to put back onto cd's as CDA or CD Audio. Audacity is free!
