People are saying I have reddish hair. I DON'T WANT RED HAIR.
But then some one told me it's so light brown it's red. What I'm trying to say here is I want my light brown hair back without it becoming red.
1. I have not put any chemicals into my hair.
2. I do not want to dye my hair.

easiest way is to use a dye with an ash base, keep away from anything that says "golden"

if you refuse to dye, use a shampoo with optical brighteners but itll only make a subtle change. stuff for grey hair is wonderful even if youre a teenager. the shampoo will look blue or purple and this will help to neutralize the red in your hair. shampoo once then repeat and leave in for at least five minutes, do this every time you wash your hair until you achieve desired results. if it turns to ashy, dont worry itll go away in a few days with regular shampoo.

First off, if a Lt brown hair person gets into the sun (No Chemicals) or Swims, then the hair will become lighter. White hair has no color,(that's like a level 12) and then there comes blond(lev.10 )and then strawberry Blond (Lev. 8) the next level over-laps because the hair has Red undertones, so the darker you go, the more the red is covered up. Like brown and dark brn. Auburn's are light browns with alot of red undertones. You asked how to "Make" your hair light brn. use a non permt. toner to cover.

You can go to a beauty supply store and get what is classified as a deposit only hair color. It doesn't permanently dye your hair. It just puts color on much like a semi permanent. Clairol has a line of deposit only, if I remember right that line is called Second Nature. It lasts about three months enough for you to get through summer now, and then you hair will gradually darken back up with winter coming.

You can try a permanent dye, there's loads in a light brown colour. But if your natural hair is quite red then you'll never be able to get it back to be naturally light brown with no dye.
