No, because it IS the internet, and you simply cannot trust the
internet, either from the technical or techological standpoint, or from the honesty point of view from the people that run these, of
which almost 100% are offshore- what does THAT tell you.
Having played Hold em for almost 20 years now, I can tell you from personal experience (this includes one World Series, and'just a shitload of money in my time flying back and forth), that there just isn't anything like the real thing. It's like real sex and
Cybersex (no matter how high definition and all that it is) Which
would you rather have? You do of course have the element of playing multiple games- which can be very lucrative (and tricky),
and of course, you don't have to look at anyone's face nor they
yours, so that whole pyschological element is missing. On the other hand, you can build up a profile of on-line players, but
they tend to change their user names a lot. In live poker, the
whole "ambiance" or whatever you wish to call it is so different.
Real people, real chips, real cash, real bluffing, real action.
You just don't get that off a computer screen. But it is, can be,
good for practice in very very low games, the lowest possible.
This way, if an offshore company goes belly-up- and they have
all your credit card numbers, you're relatively safe. You do know
of course, that technically it's illegal, but no one is enforcing that.
But then again, all it takes is one bill, and a lot of people and
their money are separated overnite- the sites will stay safe and
rich, because their outside the U.S.
Trust me, sooner or later, something like this will happen,
and the world of cyberpoker will come to a crash and poker will
get back to the tables where it belongs. But I have to admit,
the success of this is qwuite phenomenal- there are an estimated
100,000 poker players playing on line at any given moment, and
probably at least $100,000 in some tournament somewhere
on line being won. The profits for the sites are going to
reach astronomical levels if it all continues to work, and so far
it is- all seems smooth and legitimate- so far.
But really, think about it...would you rather go see the
SuperBowl live (or whatever your sport was) or on Tv? Now,
suppose you were an injured player on that team, and ask
yourself that....

By the way, the World Series is underway, anybody intersted
in buying points or "staking"- let me know. Your return is
as much as 50% depending on the initial stake. Stuart Unger,
a sheer genius, was the only player ever to win back to back besides Johnny Chan- but one better, he won three times
altogether, an unbroken record. When I saw him at the Horseshoe, he was down and out. Nobody would even talk to
him, let alone lend him the $10,500 buy in. Billy Baxter, another
player did, Ungar won, and for his investment, Baxter got back
$550,000. Not bad.

See you at the tables, and may you always have the Macadamia
nuts.............

You can play online. It is far more secure than you realize. Playing a home game is fine, but eventually you get to know each others playing styles and it isn't so fun. It can be costly to go the casino and playing online for free you can run into problems with EVERYONE going all in when they have nothing.

Even if you play a 50 cent sit n' go tournament it can make it so much more fun because you have a whole bunch less people going all in with nothing. As soon as its real money (even just 50 cents) people start playing for real.

You don't need to bet 30 bucks online. You can play with less than a dollar! And sometimes the prizes can be thousandsof dollars... More than 250 million in onlien prizes eahc month and more than 125 million are won in tournaments each money on Party Poker... I would say there is some BIG money around.

Real poker is fun, but online poker can be fun too. They are different. Onlien poker is something you do when you have an hour or two after a hard nights work and you don't feel like going to the casino. You can't compare them because they are different.

I like to play on-line Texas Hold-Em for free also. I usually play on Full Tilt poker.net but I have accounts at Empire poker, Pacific Poker, and Party poker also. I have been considering trying to play for some real cash! I was thinking of depositing just $50.00 and playing just real small stakes games and try to build up my bankroll. I usually play fairly conservative and I almost always come away increasing my bank. Anyway, I know that it would be different for real money but I figure that you only live once, 50 bucks isn't gonna kill me, and you never know, I might kick butt!! So my answer to your question is: Yes, I would play on-line for real money, I just don't quite know when yet!

Poker online is a lifeline of mine. I consider myself a semi-pro and play limits from 2/4 to 25/50 online at Poker Stars and FTP.

You're probably in the same boat as a large proportion of sports gamblers up and down the country who're losing way more than they ever win. You may have the sporadic gain that maintains you coming back for more, but the majority of the time your choices lose. And that fees you ever more income! If you wish to set the conclusion at this dilemma you then must search here https://tr.im/An1ob .
With Zcodes you can get the equipment suggestions so that you can win the bets and more.
Zcodes System also carries a very active community that also weighs in and allows there two cents about each game. Probably there's a vital damage Zcodes does not know about. Number worries, the forum people allow you to know before you place your expense down.

I used to play online in micro-limits. I turned a 50$ deposit into 133$ in about 4 years playing up to 5-10 cent limits.. Then, the state I live in, the state of Washington, decided to make online gambling a FELONY, equal to child-porn. So, I had to cash out, and now only play fake-money...

I would definately play online for real money, if your local laws allow it. I suggest pokerstars.com

It's just not the same playing on-line. I don't think you play too much poker. I play on my days off-and at work on my breaks.(no limit cash games at work). Holy ish!!!! I have a gambling problem.

Never play for money on the internet. Do like my friends and I do and get together once a week and play for however much you want. It's alot more safer, but playing for free is good practice.
