My mom taught me to drink a little warm salt water to lessen the pain. Salt penetrates the infection to lessen the pain. If that doesn't work I would take some Ibuprofen and talk to a dentist as soon as you can. That aching tooth may be a cavity.

She should go see a dentist. I had an aching tooth and was using Ambosol (sp?) and taking Tylenol and to no avail. It was an absess tooth and I needed a root canal. Ended up on antibiotics and Vicodin for 10 days.

Good luck

My dad has really bad teeth that hurt him. what he does that takes the pain right away is he has a bottle of RUM and he puts a little bit on his sore tooth and it takes the pain right away, however as soon as he puts it on the tooth it burns a little but the pain goes right away. If you don't like RUM or are underage you don't have to drink it, you can spit it out rather than swallow. Good luck with the tooth. toothaches are the worse of all pain.

She needs to see a dentist. If the pain is caused by an abcess it is not going to go away on its own. She needs antibiotics and to find out if she needs a root canal or to pull the tooth. Abcessess should not be put off. Trust me I see this every day.

I use a q-tip and apply Lysol right to the cavity. Bone bacteria spreads very fast. If the gums are sore then pack salt around the gums till the pain stops. Don't swallow the medicine.

Oil of cloves is great if she's not pregnant otherwise Anbsol will do the trick. It's cheap and available from most chemists.

Try gargling with warm salt water

I would see a dentist.

Also if she is having allergy problems that can cause lots of teeth pain too sometimes.

the best thing is antibiotics from the dentist until he/she has time to get them in. Could go away but there is probably a deep problem.
