My bf's 3yr old cousin is supposely lactose intolerance (so the lil boy's mother says) But how is that possible if he can eat icecream and have no trouble. The mother gives him watered down milk, but if he was lactose intolerance, he wouldn't even be able to hold down that either right? i need information!! i can't find a site, so i need help with finding an answer

Lactose intolerance is not black and white, just because you have it, doesn't mean you'll freak out to have one drop. Some people have a harsher intolerance for it, some people just get dizzy or slightly nauseous.
I'm lactose intolerant, but not extreme. I can drink milk or some smoothies, but it'll make me nauseous for a few minutes. Ice cream isn't bad at all, I'll devour as much as I can!^^

Intolerances aren't like allergies, as often people have no problems with the food until a threshold is reached. eg. say 2 grams will produce the symptoms, but anything less than that won't be a problem. this is often hard to gauge
