Because the chemicals used in the flavoring of trix cereal consist of complex enzymes that don't harm children. However, adults have a less active metabolism, and these enzymes can cause damage to their digestive system.
No I'm just kidding, I made that all up.

I always wanted the rabbit to have some. I thought it was mean that he wanted them so bad and no one ever gave him any Trix. Trix was my favorite cereal as a kid, but I always felt a little guilty when I ate it. If I had a rabbit, I would offer it some Trix, but it probably wouldn't eat any. So much for my childhood guilt!

So the Trix makers could advertise better. Everybody knows that trix are for kids, so it worked. If they didn't have that silly Rabbit always trying to jack the kids trix then it would just be like, "Trix", not "Silly Rabbit, Trix are for kids!!"

Because when kids sees the commercials, they think, "Hey, it's just for me! Yay, I feel special!" So they can attract more kids to beg their parents to buy it and make more money.
What kid would want to share with adults...?
