well, god did own the universe but he lost it in a bet playing some wierd game that only mighty people like god know how to play. The guy that won it forgot about it so now we are just floating around by ourselfs. I'm sure god has a nice little estate with only the coolest and weirdest stuff imaginable. I mean if you were god, why settle for normal. He might also have some beach houses (by beach house I mean some little shanty on the end of the clouds so he can look out and enjoy the view....if he is at earth that is). God's gotta cover the entire universe so I imagine he has a few good "beach houses" in his favorite locations. Whether some of them are here on earth or not I don't know. I didn't meet him long enough to ask more detailed questions. No, he does not own everything. Why do you think it takes him so long to answer us? He's still using dial up from some other universe and his messages just haven't reached us yet...that or he is still having problems connecting. Or he's busy looking up stuff on ebay or some similar website to consider purchasing what he does not currently own. God makes decent pay, but when you are god, some things just don't fit his mighty size. You try finding jeans size infitity, why else do you think god still wears a toga. I hope this clarifies a bit for, if not, or if you have more questions, just ask me and I'll be sure to ask god the next time I see him.

The bible says the Lord owns the cattle on a thousand hills. Basically it infers that all that was crated by Him is His. However, He gave it to us as stewards to watch over, cultivate, protect, enjoy.
I don't know what the saying "God's own country means, but receiving a blessing from God can only be good.

I like the way the Native Americans thought about it. They thought the great spirit controlled the land, that nobody owned it. That's why the settlers could get them to "sign away" the land. They didn't believe in the concept of land ownership, so they were basically saying, "OK, you can live here, too." Then the settlers thought that gave them the right to kick the Indians off the land, and called them "Indian Givers" when they fought to stay there!
