There are plenty of websites you can look up. Try to google: free monologues, and if you find a monologue that is too long you can cut it to suit where you feel it should stop, and that can lead off to your song naturally. Believe me. You'll find something. I had to go through the same thing at my performing arts school. Gibbs High for Pinellas County of Performing Arts.

If the character you want is more ditsy or funny...try something Bonnie says in Anything Goes (Fix the Violin...thats the start - try an accent).
If it's more serious...Emma Goldman has a great monologue from Ragtime (The Night that Goldman Spoke at Union Square).
If the character is wallowing in self-pity...Blanche from Brighton Beach Memoirs (ex - "You earn your independence! You don't take it at the expense of others! Would that job even have been offered to you if someone in this house hadn't paid for those dancing lessons, kept a roof over your head and clothes on your back? And if anyone is going to pay back Uncle Jack, it'll be me doing God Knows what, I don't know. But one thing is for sure; i will steal before i let my daughter show that man one ounce of ingratitude or disrespect" - its juicy and when done with building emotion, its great. shes talking to her daughter)
As for a practical character - Mother from Ragtime.
Search for these characters monologues in Google and you'll find something. Older shows, like these, won't come to everyone's mind and you will stand out as unique and really good.
Good Luck (Blanche is great...i got and A+ on my acting final thanks to her)!

I'd Suggest looking into the scripts of Wicked or Rent...They both have some good parts, although on broadway Rent was all singing. Idina menzel has some good monologues in Wicked you could probably use. Hope this helps!

There are tons of books for monologues and dialogues. You can also find a good movie.
It's not easy to find monologues on the internet if you don't know where to go...

Your monologues might want to be fantastic as long as they're perfect. As on your outfits, purely placed on fantastic outfits. No too informal, no longer too dressy, yet do not gown up as a personality!
