So i've been dating this guy for 5 months now and he's a wonderful boyfriend. The only problem is that sometimes we argue when we both have different views on an issue. Like today we were discussing politics and i made a comment about how teenagers tend to forget about keeping up with what's going on in the world because they have other things on their mind. And he was all like "eh bleh to your teenager comment" and it PISSED me off. If he doesnt agree he can say so in a NICE way...maybe something like "well i understand why you would think that, but i have to disagree because i think..." or "i dont know if i think that's true because in my opinion.." Do you guys see what i mean? I've been raised to think that there is a nice way and a rude way to debate. He thinks he's doing nothing wrong..that i shouldnt get mad over things like that..and that all kinds of people debate the way he does. So am i taking things too seriously or does he need to watch how he says things?

You can't change your boyfriend and the way he views things and acts, but you can tell him that to you, saying something like that is hurtful and it would be nice if he was aware of how he expressed his disagreement in the future. If he continues to be the same way, then the next best thing is to change the way you feel (becuase you can't change him). Find a way to NOT let his behaviour piss you off. If you can't find a way and you can't tolerate it, then the next best thing after that is to leave him.

Just ask yourself what's most important to you, and remember, you can't change other people, you can only change yourself.

Ithink you are taking small isue seriously . You must appericiate , that he is sinceir in his individual suggestions and put his point his own way , not showing of . You can help him to become more sophisticated in his presentation later . First make your self assured that , wheather you are serious about him . If yes , continue to make your love foundation strong & later help each other to mold .

It is hard to change overnight. I personally think that you are correct. But don't expect him to change right away you have to accept the way he is while still telling him in a nice way that he needs to grow up.

You were raised to think there is a nice way and there's a rude way.
Your boyfriend wasn't raised. His parents didn't know how.

i would say that is who he is. it's neither one of your fault. i think you should tell him exactly what you think. and if he can't change, then you need to rethink about your relationship. a big part of a long lasting relationship is base on compromising. if you feel this relationship doesn't worth the compromise, so be it. you just have to decide if you think is worth it. it's really difficult to expect someone to change.
