I've heard different answers to that question based on which which web site the person asked is representing. I'd like to hear from an optometrist, costume dealer, or someone who has had first hand experience with costume lenses.
-Thanks in advance,
Mesmer

I've used prescription contact lenses for about 10 years and had no damage. I'm guessing that the costuming lenses are as equally crafted, since they are made from an optometrist.

I've known one person online who had some and had no ill effects with them. The actors in movies use them as well and still work other movies.

Just follow the information your dr. gives you.

Hi this is based on my personal experience as im using it since last 6 years........

The coustume contact lenses does not cause any damage to your vision as its easy and portable way to wear and it also reduces the risk of number fluctuation which is much more foud in glasses,
but proper care must be taken during wearing the contact lenses one thing should be remebered it is, do remove lenses for atleast 2 hours so that ur eye get enough oxygen to ur eyes.

Yes, your vision can be damaged in many ways.

If you follow your optical professionals recommendations, and remove your lenses when you sense any burning, stinging, etc., you should not have problems.

Recently, however, a contact lens fluid was implicated in causing fungal eye infections.
