I guess nobody knows what exists in the minds of others. I guess everyone has issues in life that make them do these things. Also, a lot of people are very stubborn, selfish and only care about themselves.
The environment is something that a lot of people don't care about, there always seems to be people throwing cigarettes outside their car windows, and gum on the concrete.
Some people are unable of changing their ways, and I guess that means they aren't the "fittest."

Your question doesn't really make sense. "Survival of the Fittest" is just a catchphrase. To really understand what it means you have to actually do some research and studying.
Have you ever heard of the Darwin Awards? They go right along with your question.

edit:
John, you said:
"However there is no real evidence/ proof for Macro*Evolution (unguided formation of completely new body plans/ phyla; unguided formation of completely new complex organs)."
First of all there IS lots of evidence, but secondly you are misrepresenting what evolution is. by saying "unguided" you are meaning "unguided by God" I presume. The process is guided, but it is guided by natural selection. You can't differentiate between macro and micro evolution. They are the same thing, just in different time frames. What you are showing is simply a lack of knowledge about what evolution is and how it works.
And don't bother reponding because I have heard it a million times and I'm glad that you found jebus and everything. It just makes me mad when misconceptions about science are spread further, thus dumbing down poor American kids even more.

I don't quite understand your question? Are you assuming Humans are the "fittest"?
If we are, then we will figure out a way to change our behaivior. Our brain and ability to reason is our strength, if it is the best adaptation in the animal kingdom, then we will survive. If it is not, then we will perish, either at our own hands, or by some other natural force.

Good point.
I confess that I am skeptical of the alleged ability of "survival of the fittest" to explain all of the characteristics (or all of the major characteristics) of life that we observe around us.
After reading and studying this topic (evolution) for hundreds of hours, I have come to the reasonable conclusion that Micro*Evolution is correct, and Macro*Evolution is wrong.
What I have found is...
Ultimately people believe in Evolution because they want to believe that God does not exist and/or he did not participate in creating life on earth.
There is evidence for Micro*Evolution (adaptation; change within species; limited speciation).
However there is no real evidence/ proof for Macro*Evolution (unguided formation of completely new body plans/ phyla; unguided formation of completely new complex organs).
I used to be an atheist and used to believe in Macro*Evolution. (Over a period of time however, I grew convinced of the existence of the Christian God, and ultimately committed my life to Christ. For a draft-version of my journey from atheism to Christ, see http://www.godsci.org/gs/chri/testimony/seek.html)
And over time, I grew increasingly disillusioned with Macro*Evolution as well. E.g. for scientific and intellectual critiques of evolution, see http://www.godsci.org/gsi/apol/evo/00.html
I recognize now that Macro*Evolution is basically an Atheist Faith (and is held to by Atheist or Deist Faith).
Cordially,
John

Because we're frightened of what we know.
We never feel safe.
And when we do, we're pretending.
Its hard......... so we seek pleasure to escape it.
We need it.
