Should a christian stand by while others are murdered? Think about it. If someone was breaking into your hime to hurt or kill your family would you want your neighbor to say "sorry, but I'm a christian, so I can't get involved." That's not in my bible. We're dealing with the same thing here just on a larger scale. When the American military is used to protect people, there is nothing biblically wrong with that. In fact it could be said that there may be something wrong with all the times that we do not get involved.
To equate Islam with Christianity shows that you don't know a lot about either. Go to a christian church in american and start reciting the koran. Then go to a mosque in a muslim country and quote the bible. Better do in America first because you won't survive the muslim country.

I had a nice long answer but it went poof so here is a short reply.
Evil prospers when good men do nothing. Just think what the world would have been like if Hitler was never opposed, Or to make it more current. How many more people would be dead if President Bush and American fighting men and women had not brought the war to those who will stop at nothing to destroy the Jews and what the perceive and a Christan American that is so decadent that in the same city that our church's reside we have crime and strip clubs. In the eyes of Osama and kin we are a nation of devils in Christan clothing.

Because we don't live in a Utopian society. These maniacal killers who want to murder all of the Jews, Americans, Israelis, and Christians in the world won't just fall over and die, or give up on their own. They have to be destroyed for the safety of the rest of the world. They are the ones who kill the innocent intentionally, we want to kill them and keep the innocent of the world safe and secure. We're not satisfied with waiting for them to give up their pursuit of world domination or their desire to kill us all or make us all converted muslims by force - we have to take the fight to them. We're not the bad guys, they are. Problems don't solve themselves, they have to be solved and eliminated by pro-active, motivated, and resloute individuals and groups of people.
Get your flower out of your hair and your bell bottoms off, this isn't a world of peace, love, and harmony and it wouldn't be if we left these Islamic murderers alone. Leaving them alone and letting them be is what caused 9/11. While we lay dormant for 8 years, they were bombing ships and other targets all over the world with any kind of ties to the U.S.
9/11 was a result Clinton's passive ideals castrating America and making victims and fools out of us yet again. Thousands of people died because he didn't have the balls to take care of a problem when he had the chance. He was and is a gutless coward and a terrible president. KILL 'EM ALL AND LET GOD SORT 'EM OUT!
Why aren't you directing this question at the muslims on the board? After all, their people are the ones who kill in the name of their god. Bin Laden and his followers claim to be killing innocent people in the name of "allah" and that they're doing their god's bidding. Why do they claim to be in God's command and then they kill and murder, why are you only pointing fingers at America and President Bush? Oh, I'm sorry, I forgot islam is a "religion of peace." LMAO! YEAH RIGHT!

Anyone can SAY they are of God.
I don't know about the other religious texts of the world, but the New Testament specifically tells Christians NOT to say it (Matthew 6:2-5) and to beware those who do (Matthew 7:15-23.)

But did King David not slay Goliath? And he done in the name of God. Not my point though. My point is, why judge their faith? Believe in God and you will prosper. But remember that a lot of people were killed in the stories of the Bible. The Bible tells of many wars fought in the name of God. But as far as the world leaders who declare war and things of that nature, who knows their true motives but God, so let him deal with it, trust me he can. Have a good day

The role of government is different from the role of individuals.
As individuals (Christians), we should not take personal revenge (or vengeance) for any harms done to us.
However the responsibility of governments is to rule justly, and to protect their citizens from harm (harm which can arise from the actions of their own citizens, or from the actions of the citizens of other countries, or the governments of other countries).
If our government does not protect our citizens they are shirking their duty and responsibility. So it is not the role of government to be Pacifist at all costs. Sometimes the government has to wield force to defend its citizens.
Having said that, there is room within democracy for debate over when and where force is to be used.
Cordially,
John

because all men are created equivalent, no guy has a suitable to take a existence, for this reason the "thou" in thou shalt no longer kill rule. God, being the source of existence, has the right to take it away as supply it.

They believe that they're doing what God wants them to do. They think that God will reward them of good deeds when they're just doing things that THEY want to do.
