What does it look like?
I just realized I'm on the internet and might've totally sounded like a pedo or freak or something. The reason I ask is because there is a kind of "lump" some people get during puberty that isn't harmful and goes away without any damage. Definatly don't pick at it, because that's just asking for an infection or scarring.
Here's what I'm talking about:

You should take a good look around that whole site, it has some good information that sex ed tends to leave out.

I think you're probably scared about the whole thing. First off, are you sexually active? If you are, then you could have a sexually transmitted disease and you probably should go to the dr and get it checked out.
If you are not sexually active, then I would guess that it could be one of many things, a little infection, clogged gland, possible cyst. Does it hurt? Hurt would mean probably infection or gland. Since it's the holiday and prob no doctors are in tomm anyhow, try soaking it, warm washcloth, to see if it gets a head on it like a pimple or infection. I would see a doctor Wed.

You could wait for a day or two, if it is still there and bothers you a lot then go to see a doctor. Meanwhile good hygiene is important, dont go and soak in the bath, but have a shower. And clean well after each toilet visit. These lumps can be kind of blocked pores and things like that, nothing more serious. But don't go pick or touch it so you don't spread any germs from your fingers.

You need to see a Dr. Explain if you have had intercourse or not (very important!) and he may give you some cream. Don't be embarrassed these folks are professionals.
It could just be a vein and will go down. Best to check it out though.

you should have it checked by a doctor so that you will know if it's something as harmless as a cyst or as dangerous as cancer.
usually a cyst is very round and soft -- kinda like a grape. (just to give you an idea) cancers are mostly irregular in shape -- people have describe it as a "coral", but with my auntie's case (she had breast cancer) it's as round and as big as an egg -- but very hard.
so i still suggest you have it checked to make sure.

See the doctor as soon as possible. Anything in that area should be taken care of immediately.

It's probably a bartholins cyst. I think that's how you spell it. After a few days, it will get bigger and tender. Eventually it will burst, hopefully. They usually do.

You need to have it looked at. It could be a blemish, cyst, or wart...if you are already sexually active it may be something that could be contagious. Go to your doctor.
