The opposite of being a coward would be somebody that walks in faith. It takes a lot of courage to stand up to demons, and do the will of God when everybody else in the world may be satisfying their flesh. The spirit and the flesh are constantly at battle, but it takes guts (no cowards) to do the things that God wants. When I refer to demons, I am referring to peer-pressure, lusts, drugs, manipulation, and of course there are many others. It takes courage to quit smoking and trust that God will make it easier. A mighty man of valor (as mentioned in the Bible) would be one that could stand up to a physically attractive woman trying to seduce him. All of this doesn't mean that you will be perfect, but you will try. If you fall short (as the Bible says we all do), we just need to ask God (not a priest) for forgiveness. Say you are shy, or have a hard time speaking with authority, God will perfect it. There is a scripture that says, "God will perfect that which concerneth me." God basically wants us to count on Him, which is really awesome because he sees what we may not see and can help preserve us from dangerous situations.

Unbelief is an expression of cowardice. Do you know the parable where Christ teaches about the man who hid his talent in the ground? The man knew the score and he knew the doctrines of truth, and yet he couldn't commit to the life of faith.
There is a place where Christ speaks of a man who begins to build a tower and is unable to finish the work and all of his neighbors begin to mock him.
Look at the example of the Israelites. There is a specific idea at work in the story of the Exodus. Paul speaks of the fashion of this world, that is a mathematical form. Its like little children playing house.
Human beings have emotional attachments to various images, experiences, associations, etc. etc. etc. that constrain our mind through temptation, and it is the liberation of the mind to understand the material reality of things without regard to the temptation that assaults the mind that is difficult.
The Israelites had seen the works of God for forty years in the desert and yet were unable to go in and possess the promise land.
Consider in contrast the example of Abraham who believed God so strongly that he took up his whole family and household and moved hundreds of miles to a foreign land at the command of God. And he was called the friend of God.
People think of the Bible as a book for weaklings and mental midgets, but the poetry contained in the Psalms and the Prophets, and the nuanced philosophical ideas articulated by the apostle Paul and by John at the beginning of his gospel are the some of the most refined expressions and dynamic expostulations in the history of all literature.
The ability to take that understanding of the mind and move forward with it in this world in effectual action is another matter however.
Once again, consider the example of the Israelites who had seen God's works in the desert but always complained, always grumbled, always cowered in the face of trials and compare that to the example of Elijah who marched boldly into Ahab's court with the declaration of judgment.
The cowardly are those who love to retreat into the place of their imagination and reject the real actions that are incumbent upon those who truly believe the gospel.
The scripture says to count the cost, to take up your cross.
By the way, bro, you still need a new picture.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!

The cowards "fearful" are not those who are faint hearted in their faith or who sometimes doubt or question, but those who turn back from following God. They are not brave enough to stand up for Christ; they are not humble enough to accept his authority over their lives. They are put in the same list as the unrepentant, abominable, murderers, liars, idolaters, the immoral and those practicing demonic arts. Thanks for the opportunity. Oh, Cowards are backsliders.

The "Cowards" (NIV) is a more modern terminology for the "Fearful and Unbelieving" (KJV). It was not written in the context of what we call Cowards today, but in reference to those people who are Fearful and unbeleiving of the Truth that is God and his salvation

God didn't write the Bible.
But here's what Webster has to say about it:
One who shows ignoble fear in the face of danger or pain.

Those who have no faith in themselves, those who are not true to themelves, those who disrespect themselves. The list can go on and on like those who don't wear green shoelaces on the 2nd of evey summer month. Really, I don't know but that's my opinion of the matter.

I think this means anyone that does not stand up and admit that Jesus Christ is Lord in Public. Anyone that denies God.

"Cowards" meant -
Those that are disloyal to God. That when seeing others undergo suffering for righteousness’ sake, they become frightened and quit serving God in order to escape possible injury, difficulty, opposition, and even death at the hands of men.
____________________________________________________
Genuine disciples of Jesus Christ cannot expect to receive better treatment than did their Lord. As Jesus himself said: “A slave is not greater than his master. If they have persecuted me, they will persecute you also.”—John 15:20
So, we must have courage to take on any persecution for God's name sake that's given regardless of the outcome. Always rely on God. In order for us to take courageous step we must strengthen our faith by studying God’s Word, appeal to him for direction and guidance, associate with courageous Christians and actively aid others to become Jesus’ disciples.
