Easy: (assuming 2 composite on TV)
Wall, antenna outlet
splitter: cablebox Antenna in back of TV
AV Cable in back of VCR (need 3 wire cable)
VCR AV Cable in back of TV (need 3 wire cable)
This allows recording of low channels while watching high channels.
If you want to record from high channels remember to record line in (back) on VCR
DVD goes in front AV port of TV
XBox, remove dvd player and plug in box.
Need a bunch of cables though, but great setup. (4 av cables, should have 2 already)
IF TV has 2 back inputs use second for dvd and leave xbox in front (if any) you may consider runningthe xbox though the VCR front input.
If no or limited AV on TV:
Antenna, from wall to cablebox, antenna to VCR, antenna to TV
DVD to back of VCR, xbox to from of VCR, have VCR on to watch DVD, play Xbox
if AV in on TV use that one for DVD and decide what is easier to do unplug or play through VCR.
Have fun!

I'd say call the cable guy. If not, Xbox has an extension with three things which can go in front of the TV or in the back. If your VCR is old, i think it goes around this circular thing with a lot of lines in the back of your TV. And the DVD player has more extensions that go into the same colored plug-ins.
Hope this helps. I'm not too great with hooking things up.

Well if you have a multiswitch it's easy. They can be purchased from the Company Mad Catz from either Walmart or any gaming store (also try Ciruit City). They do not use battery or wall power and just allow you to hook many things into one plug (your TV). The deal is you have to select a button to use which ever one you want at the time. You have another choice in of course buying a reciever which allows you to do the same thing but have speakers attached to it. Either choice you pick you can hook all of them up (your cable should always be hooked up to the back of your TV set). Good luck. Once you get it the first time, you'll get it all the time.

hook all of your cables to the numbered ports in the back and then have just 2 or 3 sets of cables to your tv. Its even remote controlled so you can switch from one to another. They also have them at gamestop and the like. I have one set up to my TV.
i HAVE hooked up to my selector....DVD, XBOX,XBOX 360,PLAYSTATION 2,SNES ,GENESIS,GAMECUBE,CABLE BOX,N64 . I do have 2 selectors though, and there is a hookup so if you have xbox live you can run your ethernet cable or wireless adapter to it and also hookup your computer so everything runs off 1 connection[
