Some church/religious people walk around like selfish millionaire's, meaning that yes God has riches in store but are they only for the church folk or for those who have that good ole religion.....People who believe should never walk around as if it is all theres and no-one else has a right to that same tree of life. God loves us all despite if we are saved or not saved his love is deep and surpasses all our understanding, for if we truly understood the depths of God's love we would not walk around as if Jesus died and never rose to give us all life and died for all our sins. The bible tells us to "go" and spread the gospel and all it's teachings, not to walk around as if we are afraid or to high up of people. God Loves us "all" and it is his choice as to the fate of our days on earth but it is your choice of how we live our life on earth will you live it stuck up, high minded, to good, better than, un-touchable, selfish or un-like God....God loves us all really he does!

I believe that those people are the ones who are the farthest away from god. It's just the way they were taught from their ministers or whomever. I like the way you think though!

I was asked recently how do i get back involved with the church. I replied with one act (of faith) at a time. What do I mean? Simple, we may one to do grand things but if we fail to do the prep work the we will never be ready when the opportunity comes to do great acts of service. Which lead to the crux of the problem most church's don't teach God's Word, they don't follow Jesus' example, they seem to be afraid to teach that there is a devil and sin, and a judgment and a hell. If the so called priest, preachers, rabbi's and every other leader who professes a relationship with the One and ONLY Living God, and they acted on that professed faith then their sheep would follow suit and if not then they would weed out the goats. God's Will will be done and hell can't help those who get in His way. "Why do you say 'lord, lord' and not do the things I command? I tell you in truth I will say get back I never knew you.

I don't get arounf much so I'm not sure which church people your talking about. It might be that they are surrounded by people who just think everyone is going to heaven. That seems to be a pretty popular viewpoint these days. I keep seeing quetions on here about how could God send people to hell and why do we think only jesus can get us to heaven. If that is what they are in the midst of then hopefully they will continue to say what is right and wrong but do so in a way that does not push people away. Your right God loves all of us. When we do things that drive people away it should remind us that we need God because we are not perfect either.

Maybe you've just been having encounters with the wrong people. The bible says that you shouldn't look at the spec in your brothers eye before you do something about the plank in yours. For in the same measure that you use to judge, that measure will also be used to judge you. In all walks of life you'll find different types of people, some serious, some angry, some joyful, some bitter, some sarcastic and so on. Knowing this to be true, we should be willing to love, interact with and encourage, every human being that we are blessed with the opportunity to meet. Jesus loves every man and woman ever created, he just wants us to do the same. God Bless!

I love Jesus, and I am far from serious.
People always talk to me about religion and when they do, I'm right there with my little bible in my purse, able to talk to them and give them a tract if they want it. I'm not pushy. But it seems to me that people always ask me questions because they know that I'm a Christian.
I was in a bar a few days ago at about 1:30 in the morning, and somehow the table got talking about God,my opinion was asked, so I gave it. And 2 of the guys were really interested, so we went aside and started talking. They were inspired and truly joyful just sitting around, in the middle of the blaring music, partying, crazynes screaming and the random people coming by saying hi....they were just so happy to hear about Jesus.
I love talking to new people, about any topic! They were happy to hear that God loves them. I'm not afraid to talk to anybody really, in any environment. Even if I look out of place.
We should Go and spread the Gospel! Its important! God does love us all!

Because a lot of people have taken god out of their religion, by that i mean that you hear a lot of people say that they are a christian, and they have lost the definition of a christian. To be a christian means to be like "Christ". Now all you have to do is read the Bible and pay attention to the parts about what Christ did in his life on Earth. Then you can start to understand what it means to be a Christian. Now all we have to do is get people to realize that and the world will begin to be a better place. Have a good day.

Amen brother! I agree with you whole-heartedly. And yes, people are WAAAY too serious. Lighten up folks! God put us here to love and live life with joy and happiness. Only you can decide to be happy or unhappy. No one else gets to make that decision for you.
