Why do some pastors discourage listening to Christian Rock, Rap, or Country music.. Why would they only sugggest Old songs and say that the rest is not Worthy?!? Had one Independant baptist pastor tell me Christian Rock was of the devil. Why is tempo, and music style seem to be so important??? I went to another church where the pastor let the newer Christian music in, and many folks left the church because of this.. I hate country music!! Whats wrong with a faster tempo, and a bit of guitar playing?

Just because it is not country, doesnt' make it evil does it??? HMMMM..

Because back when those old songs were written pastors would refuse to acknowledge them as having valid religious use. Everything is on the wheel.

As long as you sing and play your instrument to the glory of God and it comes from your heart, it doesn't matter if it's Christian rap, Christian rock, old time gospel, slow tempo or fast tempo.
