Green tea is not only full of anti-oxidents, but there is some evidence that it can reduce or prevent the risks of some types of cancer as well. If you drink it hot, be sure not to pour boiling water over the loose leaves; it makes the tea smell and taste fishy. Just bring the water to a low simmer, pour and steep.

Depends what you are using it for.
Health Benefits of Green Tea
There are three types of tea Black, Oolong, and Green tea. The difference between the Green tea and the others is that green tea is not fermented, thus keeping in the powerful antioxidants lost in the fermenting process. Green tea also contains polyphenols such as tannins (a nutrient antioxidant) catchins (EGCG which is a powerful antioxidant), and flavenoids, as well as other vitamins and minerals, such as Vitamin C. The antioxidants help your body fight against free radicals, which can mutate cells and make you sick.
Numerous scientific discoveries have also linked green tea with remarkable disease preventative properties. Gargling with green tea has been shown to inactivate the flu virus, as has drinking a cup each day to activate the polyphenols (powerful antioxidants) that are also suspected to work well against both the cold and flu viri. As China permits greater access to its interior to scientists, reports grow of entire villages in the green tea growing regions where cancers and sicknesses are statistically lower than the national norm. Though such studies are best classified as emergent, green tea is becoming widely viewed as one of the superfoods of the future.
Here are just a few known health benefits of drinking green tea:
* Boosts your immune system
* Lowers blood sugar
* Helps prevent cavities and tooth decay
* Slows the aging process
* Helps reduce the risk of cancer
* Lowers cholesterol
* Aids in weight loss by burning calories
* Reduces high blood pressure
* Prevents arthritis
* Reduces the risk of heart disease
* Reduces the risk of stroke
* Lowers the risk of blood clot
Red Tea:
• Red Tea contains magnesium, which is necessary for a healthy nervous system.
• Red Tea increases the absorption of iron in the body.
• Red Tea contains potassium and copper minerals that are necessary for several metabolic functions.
• Red Tea is often prescribed for nervous tension and mild depression as it makes a relaxing sedative.
• Red Tea contains no oxalic acid and can therefore be enjoyed by persons suffering from kidney stones.
• Red Tea helps to control your appetite thus can be beneficial in weight loss.
• Red Tea makes a great thirst-quencher and sport drink.
Black Tea:
The USDA recently stated that drinking black tea may lower bad cholesterol levels and could one day be used to help reduce the risk of heart disease.
While studies show that black tea may lower the risk of heart disease, more studies are showing the benefits of black tea in relation to lowering the risk of cancer.
Black tea can relieve diarrhea, lower cholesterol levels, and even help prevent tooth decay. For diarrhea, let the tea steep for 15 minutes before drinking.
Black tea has been shown to normalize blood pressure, expand the airways of asthmatics, and has recently been shown to lower the risk of lung cancer in light smokers.
Antioxidants in green tea may prevent and reduce the severity of rheumatoid arthritis, according to one study from Case Western Reserve University's School of Medicine. Recent studies show that green tea also has potent fat-burning properties. And according to an article from the American Association for the Advancement of Science, green tea may help reduce cardiovascular disease.
