Then why do they answer?
I am Catholic.
It does say that one of the signs of having the Holy Spirit in you is the ability to interpret dreams. I'm sure that certain conditions have to exist like being in a state of Grace (having no sins) and praying for assistance. I saw someone say earlier that they are Christian and then said that only God can interpret dreams. I've never heard or read that. If that was the case what good would it be? I remember the story of Joseph where he interpreted the dreams of Pharaoh(sp) sorry, I'm in a hurry. And yes he asked God. That's why you pray for assitance.

See this is a good question, especially aimed at anybody that believes in the Bible, even just the old testament.

See the Bible talks about witchcraft as being very evil, this includes reading dreams. However there is a great Saint in the Bible (old testament) that did in fact read dreams. His name was Joseph. If you want to see the tale of Joseph broadway and I believe some movies have retold the tale. Yes, there is a dream reader in the Bible.

look up Joseph and the amazing technicolor dreamcoat

It says only God knows the meaning of dreams. That is what Joseph told the king when they asked him to explain the 7 fat cows and 7 lean cows. He had to hear the interpretation from God.........................I am a Christian

I'm agnostic, so I don't really have to worry about religion determining whether or not I'm allowed to interpret my dreams.

I, like you, have no "religious affiliation. I, personally, consider dreams to be like "day dreams", but at night. (That is, no deep, subconscious meaning like some say they have.)
