For me, that is a great price...and I live in Texas where things are much cheaper than in Cali. But for me, I have too many horror stories that include going to my neighborhood super cuts and getting my beautiful curls abused and butchered by some loser...so I went ahead and shelled out $50 at Ulta just for a trim by the master stylist. And it looks amazing. Yes...the trim made a big difference. But keep in mind, there are additional costs. If they give you a blow out or flat-iron your hair, that'll cost you extra depending on how long it takes, and you need to tip them, and you'll probably be fascinated with whatever hair products they use on your style and end up shelling out another $20 for that as well.
Only do it if it's within your budget though. It's only within my budget to get that kind of cut once every six months, and I schedule it before a big event for a double whammy. If that salon is worth your $60+ is up to you.

yes. honestly you are paying for brand name. the person that does your hair has built up a status with his profession so he can up his/her prices. it is just like a purse or shoes you pay for name. your hair also can be what i like to call traind, so if your hair is doing well currently stay were you are. ahir can go into shock as well if you change its rutine. if you choose to change salons your hair will recover in one - two weeks or it might not shock at all. good luck

it totally depends. a 10 dollar hair cut can look just as good as a $50 one. but it can also look very cheap. so. it depends on your hair stylist and your budget for your hair.
