Well, other than perhaps choking or getting a piece of shell stuck in your teeth, none that I'm aware of.
I go back and forth between eating them whole and shelling them, and I've never had any problems.
I imagine from the texture of the shell that there is some fiber in it, so it may actually be healthy. Sort of like when you eat a baked potato and you eat the skin, which is actually healthy.

They might be a little hard to chew and would lead to them getting stuck in your throat. Otherwise, eat on. I've heard of people baking with them whole, by the way. You'll be fine.

Nope i eat them the same way.. baked potato's i eat the skin even the white on the watermelon.. it all has vitamins in it.. very good for you.
