No, tell him the truth. Honesty is always the best way to go. Either offer to pay for the damage or submit it to your insurance telling them the truth, that you were at fault.

To your brother, it is a simple white lie. To make a claim he must report it to the police. They will investigate your "hit and run" and that's when your little white lie becomes fraud.

The irony is with you hitting your brother's car and not owning up to it, it actually becomes a "hit and run."

I would say no.

Lying is not a good choice.

Your comfortable telling your brother it was a hit and run and letting him file a fraudulent claim? What happens if they investigate and charge your brother with insurance fraud?

You must have hit it pretty hard!. Sounds like you banged it!. (Anyway) Tell him, because he will know in due time, that it was you, because he will compare the dents in his vehicle,to yours. Also,if there was paint removed from either vehicle during the hit, then he will see that too. Looks like your going to be dishing out some big bucks for repairs on both vehicles. (Good Luck)

only if you ran around your vehicle after you hit his. Be honest and fess up, he'll appreciate your honesty, and you should want to accept responsibility for your actions. Would you want him to tell you it was a hit and run if he hit your minivan?

If you really care about your brother, then you should tell him the truth. Otherwise it could turn into something you would wish you could have prevented. He will be angry, but you should tell him the truth.

If the situation was reversed, how would you feel? Don't be like that with your brother, just tell him the truth.

Tell him the truth. If you lie and he finds out it will irreparably damage your relationship.
