So many religious bible thumping bigots. Why is it the people who have the most closed minds don't know how to shut their mouths?? IMO, "The bible" is moot, and full of contradictions. She wasn't asking for anyone's narrow-minded, religious OPINIONS on morality.
Anyway, sorry sweetie, same-sex marriage isn't legal in CA yet. As someone else had mentioned, it was legal in San Francisco briefly, but not anymore. Domestic partnership is legal, and affords you and your partner some rights as a couple. The only place that I'm aware of that will allow same-sex couple to marry is Massachusetts, but they only allow residents to marry, and you have to be a resident of that state at least a year before you can do so. Me and my girl plan on going to Canada to marry. Good luck.
As for the person above me who said "society says it is wrong as far as the marriage thing and I would have to believe that too.", that's retarded. Society at different points have also said women couldn't vote, minorities had little or no rights, segregation was acceptable, and inter-racial marriage was wrong. Sometimes it's society that's wrong.

Got to Canada for a vacation, and get married there. Have a honeymoon there at the same time (see the Rockies, Niagara Falls, Old Quebec, Vancouver Island, the Maritimes, etc)! Tons of American couples have come up over the years and married here, it's mandated by federal law to be legal across the entire country, no exceptions. See link below or rent the movie "Escape to Canada" http://www.escapetocanada.ca/

Give it up. It is not offered anymore, and those who did get "married" have had it null and void if they go to another state. (Most of the US have a law to this effect).
Even Maryland will not marry you two if you do not live there. I suppose you two can move there and buy a house for the required time to get married there.
If you are determined, check out a new age religion that can give you something besides the man and wife thing. Something like soul mates.

I live in california and I know it is definately illegal here as well as many other states. I cant say who you can love or not love but as you know society says it is wrong as far as the marriage thing and I would have to believe that too. God made it for a man and a woman ONLY!!!

Why is it that you feel the need to validate your relationship with a trivial ceremony? What purpose would it serve? I was adopted by a gay couple and my parents were together for 25 years before one of them passed away. Marriage wouldn't have served any purpose but to waste alot of time and money. Legal matters were simply settled with the will.

the process is you dont. there is no such thing as "marriage" between a couple of the same sex.
Mar·riage Pronunciation Key (mrj) n.
The legal union of a man and woman as husband and wife.
note the definition says between MAN AND WOMAN not man and man or woman and woman or woman and animal. it says MAN and WOMAN.

Honey, I live in Cali. & I think it's still illegal to do that here (just like the rest of the U.S.). I'm a proponent for gay marriage but I don't think that it's legal. I wish you the best of luck.
