All 13 people are men, including Jesus, and that's according to the Bible.

Never believe what the Da Vinci Code says. It's a good read but nothing more than that. If you're ever confused, read the Bible, it will set you free.

There are many points of view possible to answer that question.

Some state that there are 13 men in there (Jesus + 12 apostoles), and others state that there are 12 men and a woman (Jesus + 11 apostoles + marie magdalene). It is impossible for us to know the exact truth about the painting, but the thematic of Marie Magdalene on the Last Supper is already covered in the "The DaVinci Code" book and movie.

Personally, (and this is just my opinion) I think that there could be originally 13 men at the table and at least 1 woman. Jesus, Judas and all the other could initially be there, but (and as tradition states) Judas eventually leaves and then there would be simply 12 men and Marie at the table, as the painting depicts.

Ok, most people could disagree that Marie was indeed in there, but think of this: Jesus could be indeed the son of God, but he was in a human boby. Humans have physical needs, and after saving Marie from being killed with the stones, she probably followed him and his message up to her death. Therefore, in that supper, I find it highly unprobable that there wasn't at least a woman in there, either if she was Marie or not.

I hope this answer is enough for you, but you can also see two copies of the paintings below, so that that you can get your own conclusions.

lol 13. its stupid to think john wasnt the mary character, just stupid. he is the youngest of the twelve so as all artists did they painted him looking almost femine because he is so young, and even in John is talks about how John was leaning towards Jesus at the supper, its really just dumb to think otherwise.

They are all fictional characters on the wrong side of the table....You can ask your dog about this or you can hold on to those rusty bicycle parts. It's up to you. Is that all you ever think about, popsickles?
