Disney produced a movie in about 1993 called "The Other Side of Heaven" about Mormon missionary John H. Groberg in Tonga. Also stars Anne Hathaway. If you are worried about being exposed to Mormon doctrine, there is very little of that in this movie. It has beautiful photography as well.

I rented "The Gospel of John" last week, and it is two years old, its great! The special effects are good, and it is very nice in narration.
It was so realistic and biblical that I cried, and acually felt a strong need to repent of my sins.
I rate this movie, one of the best ones I've ever seen!
It is a 3 disk set, and I rented it from , Movie Gallery.

It's not necessarily a Christian movie but Contact is a good movie about the struggle between faith and science.
